Explore Policies

What do people ask about policies?

Public Policy affects all aspects of modern living. Public Policy lays the foundations, guidance, modus operandi of a country and should provide clear direction and objectives. Policies are an essential part of any organization providing governance structures as well as accountability while ensuring legal compliance.

Public Policy is (mis)guided by politicians, political parties, lobbyists & foreign intervention.
Policies evolve with the beliefs of the people, politicians, political parties which in turn are
increasingly influenced by globalized corporates.

Several policy objectives include but are not limited to the achievement of

Developing a new Lankan mindset
Rebuilding trust
Recreating, re-designing & improving systems
Forging a cohesive nation with a national policy to frame an unifying Sri Lankan identity
Ensure survival, prosperity, long term self sustaining sustainability

We feel policy is developed & lobbied by foreign nations & implemented in Sri Lanka to
Sri Lankan’s disadvantage. The system was created and implemented by British Imperials & run
by their disciples.

Sri Lanka’s constitution was created and implemented by British Imperials. Since Independence
policy and constitutional amendments have been subject to local politicians and their
vulnerabilities.

All policy outcomes need to promote the country’s common goals. Policy should not be viewed
independent of other policies. They should compliment each other to ensure consistency as far
as possible.

Optimal policy making should be transparent, identifying core responsibilities of government, the private sector and ordinary citizens. Adequate time should be allowed of implementation and outcome expectations to be realized.
